See you on 8th March 2022 for the Luxus Plus Webinar on the future of the luxury jobs!

Luxus Plus will organise a webinar on March 8th at 4:30 PM focusing on the new luxury professions. It will be presented the different professional skills required in the luxury industry, particularly within the emerging digital professions. Two speakers will also be present to discuss recruitment and different jobs in the luxury sector: the jewelry expert Katerina Perez and the director of EIML Paris, Sandrine Poupon!

The luxury sector is known as a market with both image and expertise, encompassing a wide range of fields such as haute couture, jewellery, leather goods, cosmetics, hospitality and others. If this sector offers products and services of a rare and high quality, it is also because they require professional skills of great precision.

The professions that bring the world of luxury to life

The French luxury market represents more than 600,000 direct jobs and one million indirect jobs: it is a sector that is constantly recruiting and is not affected by the crisis. France is the world’s leading player in fashion and luxury goods, with a worldwide reputation and accounting for a quarter of total sales worldwide.

Several professions described as traditional are essential to the life of a luxury brand. Without naming the dressmakers or craftsmen, the managers of the major marketing, sales and distribution divisions, as well as the product managers or event managers, are professions that have been recruiting considerably for several years. They are essential to the development and well-being of a luxury company. In five years, the luxury sector has created 3,500 new jobs in France, the majority of which are dedicated to leather goods, followed by cosmetics and perfume.

A sector in constant evolution: communication

This is a very broad field that includes several professions, each as different as the next, but all equally essential to luxury. A job that recruits a lot: the press relations manager. He or she is responsible for creating the media that will be made available to the press and various press releases. But this press communication has been expanded due to one factor in particular: the advent of social media.

In particular, there has been a rise in the digital professions in the luxury sector. Today, digital is essential to ensure relationships with customers around the world, to attract young consumers and to innovate the brand image. Digital now has a predominant place in this sector. Several professions such as digital marketing manager and social media and influence expert are increasingly recruiting.

The luxury sector is strongly stimulated by social networks such as Instagram or TikTok, and luxury influencers are now crucial to the success of a brand and its impact on the public. Influencer marketing is estimated to be worth 9.7 billion US dollars, or 8.5 million euros in 2020 to luxury houses worldwide

Katerina Perez, an influencer specialised in luxury jewellery will be present at our Webinar to discuss these new digital influence jobs!

She will explain the purpose of her job in the presence of Sandrine Poupon, director of the EIML, the International School of Marketing and Management of Luxury. She will accompany her and share with us her experience in the highly prized luxury sector!
