Rolls-Royce kept the promise it made when it acquired its “Spirit of Innovation” electric airplane, breaking speed records last week.
Rolls-Royce, which announced the release of its electric aircraft three years ago, had the ambition then to break the electric aviation world speed record. “Spirit of Innovation” is the fastest all-electric aircraft in the world, according to the brand, setting three new world records.

Warren East, CEO of Rolls-Royce, said enthusiastically: “Claiming the world speed record for an all-electric vehicle is a fantastic achievement for the ACCEL team and Rolls-Royce. This record will show the potential of electric flight and help unlock the technologies that could bring it into everyday life. The government is proud to support projects like this to drive the private investment needed to develop cleaner, greener aircraft that will allow people to fly like they do today, but in a way that reduces emissions”.
