Along with Hermès, Prada is undoubtedly one of the winners in a luxury industry currently hampered by the slowdown in the Chinese market.
The Italian group has every reason to be confident about the future and how it will be approached. The owner of the Prada, Miu Miu, Church’s, Car Shoe, Marchesi 1824 and Luna Rossa brands has just unveiled a 2024 financial year that is above expectations and above the market average.
Candidate for the acquisition of Versace?
This makes it all the more plausible that it is bidding to buy Versace. According to Bloomberg, Prada has entered into exclusive negotiations with Capri Holdings. It is even said to be about to conclude the deal before the end of March, for an amount close to 1.5 billion euros.
