The second edition of Paris+by Art Basel takes place this week, from October 20 to 22. Over the course of a weekend, several of the capital’s most symbolic venues will be taken over by famous galleries, to the delight of collectors and art lovers alike.
Join us at the Grand Palais Éphémère for the start of the Paris+ by Art Basel fair. Before hosting next summer’s judo and wrestling events for the Olympic Games, the structure built to temporarily replace the Grand Palais, currently under construction, opens its doors to 154 prestigious galleries from 33 countries and territories.
Exhibitions divided into sectors
Visitors will be able to admire works divided into two categories. The first, “Galleries”, is dedicated to works of art of “exceptional quality“, including paintings, sculptures, drawings, videos, installations and digital art. Among the galleries present are the Parisian Maisons 1900-2000 and Applicat-Prazan, as well as international names such as Selma Feriani Gallery (from Tunis and London), Jan Mot (from Brussels) and Bortolami (from New York).
The second section will be devoted to emerging artists and young contemporary creation from around the world. It will feature 14 projects exploring themes such as gender and ecology. Also on show are French artist Parliament, Chinese artist Bank and Italian artist Fanta-MLN.
