Only Watch Show 2021: Watch brands meet at the Monaco Yacht Show

Under the High Patronage of Prince Albert II of Monaco and at the initiative of Luc Pettavino, Only Watch kicks off at the Monaco Yacht Show from September 22 to 25, with a presentation of the 53 lots from the watch brands participating in the charity auction on November 6 in Geneva.

 

For its 9th edition at the Monaco Yacht Show, Only Watch reveals the 54 brands participating in the charity auction to raise funds for research against Duchenne muscular dystrophy.

 

Thanks to the generosity of watchmakers, donors, partners and international media coverage, this altruistic drive has raised over 70 million euros for research to date. Thanks to these funds, scientists have been able to dive into the heart of cells to accelerate knowledge of genetic diseases, understand the dysfunctions they involve, and initiate the long process of correction in order to implement therapies thanks to the pioneering techniques they have developed.

 

Donors include Breguet, Bvlgari, Chopard, Charles Girardier, Fréderique Constant, Hublot, and Ulysse Nardin, among others.

 

 

This is the 9th edition of Only Watch and the magic that brings us all together around a meaningful cause is as intense as ever. It is both wonderful and a real lesson in life. Since 2005, thanks to the extraordinary commitment of the brands and their teams, we have raised over 70 million euros for research into neuromuscular diseases. But as I have always said: in this quest, time is of the essence, and this year, the expression takes on a special meaning as the first clinical trials should be launched in early 2022. The 2021 edition and its 53 lots already promise to be up to the challenge“, says Luc Pettavino, President of the Monaco Association against Myopathies, founder and organizer of ONLY WATCH.

 

After Monaco, the watches will be exhibited around the world before the final auction. They will be on display in Dubai from September 30 (Christie’s), in Tokyo on October 8 (Christie’s), in Singapore on October 15 (Malmaison by the Hour Glass), in Hong Kong on October 26 (Christie’s) and in Macau on October 28 (TimePiece Museum).

 

The Four Seasons Hôtel des Bergues will see the lots for the last time from November 4 to 6 before the final auction on November 6 at 2 pm at Palexpo in Geneva.
