The NoLo trend, which emerged towards the end of the 2010s, is enjoying real success thanks to a new consumer demand for much more moderate and balanced alcohol consumption.
With the festive season just around the corner, why not try NoLo drinks ? Encompassing alcohol-free drinks (No for No Alcohol) and those with a very low alcohol content of between 0.5% and 1.2% (Lo for Low Alcohol), these are gaining ground in the beverage world, particularly in the luxury sector: these drinks have become an elegant alternative for celebrations.
A response to new consumer habits
The NoLo movement has grown in popularity in recent years, driven by a growing awareness of the issues surrounding health, well-being and moderation. Many people, especially among the young generation, are choosing to reduce their alcohol consumption, or even to stop drinking at all, while still wishing to enjoy refined beverages.
And during the festive season, when alcohol consumption is often excessive, NoLo drinks offer this refined and healthy alternative. They allow guests to enjoy a festive experience without the side effects of alcohol.
And the figures attest to the success of this trend : sales of alcohol-free cocktails in France rose by 9% in 2022, then by 25% in 2023. It’s worth noting that France stands out as the country with the highest number of new consumers of alcohol-free drinks, with a majority of this clientele in the 28-45 age bracket.
