The young perfume house, supported by Kering Beauté since last year, has opened its first store in Paris, on the prestigious Rue Saint Honoré. Booming and already well established worldwide through a highly selective distribution network, it aims to open around 20 stores in its priority markets.
A big first for…Matière Première!
The young perfume house, founded in 2019 by Aurélien Guichard, Caius von Knorring, and Cédric Meiffret, supported by Kering Beauté, opened its first store on June 7 in Paris, at 306 Rue Saint Honoré. Until now, its products were only available in select stores around the world.
Although this first store is relatively small (46 m²), its prestigious Parisian location was not chosen at random.
The ideal setting
“This opening is an opportunity to bring our vision of contemporary perfumery to life in a place that reflects who we are,” said Aurélien Guichard, co-founder, perfumer, and artistic director of the Maison. “We want our customers to feel the direct connection between the raw beauty of the ingredients and the fragrances I create, with authenticity and modernity. Rue Saint-Honoré, with its blend of Parisian heritage and contemporary luxury, is a vibrant place with its regulars and foreign visitors. Historically, it has also been home to many perfume houses, making it the ideal setting for our first Parisian address.”
