Missoni’s new designer knows the Italian knitwear house well: for many years he was right-hand man to Angela Missoni, the founders’ daughter…
In-house transfer at Missoni…The recognizable style of the knitwear brand, famous for its colorful geometric patterns, shouldn’t be shaken up too much…
The transalpine House has just announced the departure of Filippo Grazioli as Artistic Director and the appointment of Alberto Caliri in his place.
Filippo Grazioli ‘s time at Missoni was brief, lasting just over three years. Before that, he had “rubbed shoulders” with some of the biggest names (Margiela, Hermès, Givenchy, Burberry…), so he will be tackling “new creative and artistic challenges”.
A long-standing acquaintance
On the other hand, Alberto Caliri has a long-standing acquaintance with Missoni, having joined the studio in 2001. But above all, after starting out with some of the big names in luxury (Prada, Jil Sander, Ballantyne Cashmere… ), he had already begun working with Angela Missoni in 1998 as a consultant.
