From April 16th to 21st, Milan hosts the 62nd edition of the Furniture Fair. For the first time, the MCM brand is participating in the event by unveiling a series of nomadic objects.
Every year, the Furniture Fair is a must-attend event for design enthusiasts. On this occasion of the new edition, German brand MCM decides to take its first steps into the world of furniture by presenting a unique collection in Milan.
Known worldwide, the company founded in Munich in 1976 is particularly renowned for its ready-to-wear and leather goods collections.
Today, MCM is embarking on a new challenge by extending its creativity to the world of design with the MCM Wearable Casa collection. Designed by Atelier Biagetti and directed by Maria Cristina Didero, author and specialist in Italian design who has worked for Lexus, Fendi, and Louis Vuitton, this collection is bold and contemporary.
Greatly inspired by the Bauhaus spirit, the seven pieces of furniture are portable and multifunctional. Leather craftsmanship is honored, recalling MCM’s expertise in leather goods.
“The MCM Wearable Casa collection by Atelier Biagetti is the ultimate narrative expedient to elevate objects to the next level. Thanks to ironic and original design associations and visual short circuits, the concept of taking a piece of the house not only reflects the essence of travel but also embodies the lifestyle of a digital nomad,” said Maria Cristina Didero.
