The departure of these two luxury experts has just been revealed, officially at Salvatore Ferragamo for Marco Gobbetti and via a simple Linkedin post for Serge Brunschwig, after three decades at LVMH.
Bad times for luxury veterans or mere coincidence?
In one fell swoop, we learn of the departure of two experienced profiles from the luxury houses where they exercised their talents.
Marco Gobbetti will be leaving the Salvatore Ferragamo general management team, to which he was appointed in January 2022, and Serge Brunschwig, the LVMH group. It was not known exactly what “other mission” he was pursuing within the luxury giant, as had been announced in June 2024 when he was replaced by Pierre-Emmanuel Angeloglou at the helm of Fendi, which he had headed since early 2018.
Two former LVMH employees
While both have worked for the world’s number one luxury brand, Marco Gobbetti spent only part of his career there, while Serge Brunschwig spent three decades.
