While the historic luxury brands continue to dominate the Lyst ranking of the 20 most popular brands on the web, newer, lesser-known or more affordable names such as Coach, Ralph Lauren, Victoria Beckham and Toteme are entering the ranking for the first time.
“Is luxury losing its grip on the Lyst index?”
This is the question posed by Lyst in its latest ranking, published in October and based on trends over the previous quarter.
A veritable barometer of trends, the Lyst ranking, launched in 2028, identifies the 20 most popular luxury brands on the web, from among the 17,000 brands distributed by the London-based online sales platform to its 200 million-strong audience.
To achieve this, shopping habits, online searches and engagement on social networks and media coverage are scrutinized.
