Luxus Plus: back to school with a new look

After six years of loyal service to luxury professionals, it was time for a new look for your Luxus Plus media. After taking the necessary steps, it’s now a done deal. Today, the business reference for the luxury sector has a new look, with a richer, more documented format for its print and web formats.

Since its creation in 2018, founder and publishing director Claire Domergue has conceived Luxus Plus as a multi-sector business news medium capable of reporting on the major changes and challenges facing the luxury industry.

For the start of the 2023 season, Luxus Plus has made a number of far-reaching changes, starting with the redesign of its website and print magazine, as well as the strengthening of its editorial team. The company called on the services of several highly committed journalists. The editorial team is managed by Sophie Michentef, who spent 15 years as as deputy editor-in-chief France and Global for Journal du Textile, the leading BtoB magazine for the fashion and luxury sector. Victor Gosselin, a journalist and writer with almost 10 years’ experience in the luxury goods industry, has joined the editorial team.

A new season rich in novelties

Luxus Plus has also surrounded itself with first-rate external contributors. These include Isabelle Hossenlopp jewelry journalist, Anaïs Bournonville, co-founder of Reverse Group, a consulting firm dedicated to the Chinese market and Florent Paudeleux, a fashion and trends consultant with a keen interest in the perfume industry.

This strengthening of the editorial team has enabled us to provide an ever more exhaustive, responsive and expert treatment of the news, as well as the daily publication of news and analysis, accessible in both French and English.

This wind of renewal has been accompanied by the evolution of the Luxus Plus website layout. The redesign offers you more fluid navigation and a greater diversity of formats (columns, focus, interviews with leading industry figures, investigative features, etc.).

The site of our lifestyle counterpart, Luxus Magazine, will also be evolving very soon.

But there are other surprises in store too, and we’ll be sure to share them with you.

The business reference for luxury players

As a reminder, Claire Domergue, founder and publishing director of Luxus+, was frustrated at the time by a general press that gave too superficial a treatment to the news of an industry she was passionate about, as well as by a specialized press offering that was both too restricted and advertorial-oriented. Quite simply, there was no publication capable of becoming the economic benchmark for luxury goods, for those who are most concerned – those who work every day to make the dreams of an increasingly demanding and cosmopolitan clientele come true.

With this in mind, Claire Domergue decided to offer a wide range of subjects covering all the international luxury sectors and markets.

This distinctive, bilingual editorial line has enabled Luxus Plus to become, over time, the benchmark for international luxury business news.

As the site continues to evolve, it attracts 65% English-speaking readers from key luxury markets such as Japan, Dubai and the United States. In addition, 40,000 subscribers receive our newsletter every Thursday.

In 2020, Luxus Plus developed Luxus Magazine, a web publication designed to complement your reading experience on the main site, offering a new lifestyle-oriented, free-access article every day. Since then, Luxus Magazine has also taken the form – during the pandemic – of a paper magazine published twice a year, available in cultural press outlets and by subscription. In addition, two themed special issues are published each year to cover major trade events such as the Watches & Wonders Show in Geneva.

Finally, as an active player in the luxury ecosystem, Luxus Plus collaborates with trade show organizers such as Luxe Pack Monaco, specializing in luxury packaging, and Les Places d’Or Design & Luxury Hotel, specializing in ancillary hotel products and services.

So stay tuned, and in the meantime, happy reading.
