Luxury packaging: Gainerie 91 group’s Design competition is launching its call for applications for its 2019 edition

The 6th edition of the Gainerie 91 group’s Design competition is launching its call for applications. Objective: to allow student designers to have a unique reflection and approach to luxury packaging.

Launched in 2014, the Gainerie 91 Group’s Design Competition aims to serve as a springboard for young creative students, to identify and encourage emerging talent and to reward ingenious proposals.

The company, known for its production of boxes and displays for all luxury boutiques, does everything in its power to offer visibility to these young designers in the luxury world, while presenting the innovative projects of tomorrow’s designers to major houses.

The jury is composed of luxury professionals from various backgrounds such as art, design, press, fashion and/or luxury packaging.

With more than 250 registrations in 2018, Gainerie 91 repeats the event and challenges the codes of luxury with a unique and poetic customer experience.

The theme of this year’s Design Competition “Le groupe Gainerie 91” will be “Luxury takes itself as a game“. Participants will have to create a packaging with an opening/closing system that offers a fun experience. The game challenges the codes of luxury through a poetic experience. It enhances the user experience, unveiling the product in a fun and offbeat way.

 

PRACTICAL INFORMATIONS

Terms of participation:

Participants have the opportunity to compete in one of the following three categories:

Wines and Spirits
Watchmaking and Jewellery
Perfumes and Cosmetics

Open to students or young graduates (2018), registrations are open on the website concours.gainerie91.com until 18 March 2019, midnight.

1st price :
1 MacBook pro or a 2000€ cheque
2nd prize :
1 graphic tablet + annual subscription to Intramuros magazine or a 800€ cheque
3rd prize :
1 annual “Designer box” subscription + an annual subscription to Intramuros magazine or a 400€ cheque
Audience Award :
1 annual “Designer box” subscription or a 300€ cheque
