Luxury companies dominate the latest BrandZ Top50 France ranking, according to research firm Kantar. In addition to Hermès’ remarkable progress, the LVMH group dominates the ranking with no fewer than nine of its 75 brands, including Louis Vuitton at the top.
The BrandZ Top50 France ranking recently released by Kantar reflects the omnipresence of luxury in the media and economic landscape, mirroring its increase in value among CAC40 companies over the past 30 years.
The 2025 edition of this ranking, which combines financial data with consumer perceived value, sees French luxury dominated by the triumvirate of Louis Vuitton, Hermès and Chanel.
Beyond luxury values alone, the report notes the exceptional appreciation of the value of French companies, which has grown by 20% since 2023 to reach $507 billion.
All-in for LVMH
In this ranking of the fifty French companies with the highest international value in 2025, the LVMH group takes the lion’s share, with nine of its 75 brands making the list.
At the top of the ranking is Louis Vuitton for the fifth consecutive year. The luxury group’s flagship brand alone has an estimated brand value of $111,938 million. The luggage maker has successfully combined its rich heritage and reputation for quality craftsmanship with a high-profile commitment to the 2024 Olympic Games and digital partnerships that are attracting a new generation of fans to the brand, according to the report.
