One of the most popular watchmaking events in the luxury world, along with Watches & Wonder, LVMH Watch Week 2025 was scheduled to take place in Los Angeles. But the fires that have been ravaging the City of Angels since January 7 were not to be. While the original dates of January 21 to 24 have been maintained, the smaller event will be split between New York and Paris.
After Dubai, Singapore and last year Miami, the sixth edition of LVMH Watch Week was to inaugurate the first watch show on the US West Coast since its creation in 2020.
The Number One in luxury goods had chosen to present for the first time the watch novelties of nine of its Houses in the Bel Air district of Los Angeles.
However, evacuation orders near the outbreak of fire in the chic residential area of Pacific Palisades, just 8 miles southwest of Bel Air, decided otherwise.
LVMH chose to maintain the original dates (January 21-24), but to relocate its event dedicated to the press and local retailers to New York. The United States is a key market for the group’s development, as demonstrated by the inauguration of the Louis Vuitton XXL pop-up during the holiday season.
A series of additional events, including one to be held in Paris in February, will complete the new set-up.
An event rich in watch previews
For the first time, Louis Vuitton, Tiffany & Co and L’Epée 1839 (acquired by the Group in June 2024), will take part in LVMH Watch Week.
