This Saturday, May 1st, Nicolas Hieronimus, who is passionate about sports and rock ‘n’ roll, becomes the new managing director of the cosmetics empire, L’Oréal. After spending 34 years of his life with the group, he is moving up the ranks of the empire, having previously been the group’s deputy director in charge of four divisions.

Nicolas Hieronimus is a pure “L’Oréalien”. Having just graduated from the ESSEC Business School, he joined L’Oréal at the age of 23. Within the group, he began by selling shampoos at Garnier libido-portugal.com kamagra gel. But in 1996, he made his mark with the launch of one of the company’s emblematic products: “Fructis shampoo” with its bright green packaging.

As an international company, L’Oréal gave Mr. Hieronimus the opportunity to experience life abroad. He started by experimenting in the United Kingdom and then in Mexico in positions of high responsibility.

In January 2011, Jean-Paul Agon, former CEO of L’Oréal, appointed him Managing Director of L’Oréal Luxe lea aquí. In this position, he is responsible for upgrading and modernising these brands, focusing on customer experience, service and retail.

A few years later, he was appointed as the group’s Deputy Managing Director in charge of the following four divisions: consumer products, active cosmetics, L’Oréal Luxe and professional products.

The “polichinelle” secret of his appointment

The choice to appoint Nicolas Hieronimus was a natural one for the former CEO, having worked alongside him for many years and watched his record of success grow. The shareholders of L’Oréal were convened to the general meeting on Tuesday 20 April to validate his appointment.

“It was no mystery that he would be one of the most likely candidates to succeed me,” said Jean-Paul Agon, the group’s former CEO and chairman of the board.

Nicolas Hieronimus is taking over the reins of an empire of 88,000 employees in more than 150 countries, generating a turnover of around 30 billion euros per year. He has the ‘perfect’ profile for this position within the group: a sporty person with competitive and ambitious traits, he is also not shy about talking about his beauty routine.

Despite his 34 years of experience at L’Oréal, the challenge ahead of him remains immense as the company is thriving and growing, particularly in the Asia Pacific region. After two years marked by the global Covid-19 pandemic, the stakes remain high.

He highlights two major trends that are consistent with the “challenges of tomorrow” for the future of L’Oréal: technology and social commitment. “We are going to invent the beauty of the future, more inclusive, more sustainable, more generous, to create the beauty that makes the world go forward”, declared Nicolas Hieronimus in an interview published in Le Figaro. All that remains is to wish him good luck for this great opportunity.
