The world leader in beauty has appointed Delphine Viguier-Hovasse as Chief Innovation and Prospective Officer. She was previously the first woman to hold the position of Global Head of L’Oréal Paris, a role in which she excelled. Another representative of the so-called “weaker sex,” Laetitia Toupet-Delon, currently Executive Vice President of Global Brands for the dermatological beauty division, will take over from her.
In the fast-moving beauty market, it is important not to rest on one’s laurels as a global leader.
L’Oréal has understood this well by entrusting the newly created position of Group CEO of Innovation and Foresight to Delphine Viguier-Hovasse. The group explains that it is “building on its long tradition of innovation” to “strengthen its leadership in a dynamic and rapidly changing beauty landscape.”
In her new role, which she will take up on July 1, Delphine Viguier-Hovasse will “oversee both the existing innovation teams and the strategic foresight department to ensure a comprehensive and forward-looking approach to beauty innovation.”
A woman of firsts
A member of the executive committee of the French beauty giant, based in Paris, she will report to Barbara Lavernos, the group’s executive vice president in charge of research, innovation, and technology.
