Laura Weir to take over at British Fashion Council (BFC)

London’s Fashion Week organizer, the British Fashion Council (BFC), is to welcome Laura Weir, a fashion journalist and consultant who has been working in the creative department of Selfridges department stores for the past two years.

 

“Journalism leads to anything as long as you get out of it”…

 

This quote by the little-known Jules Janin is apt for Laura Weir, the future Chief Executive of the British Fashion Council (BFC).

 

This renowned British media contributor, who has been Executive Creative Director of Selfridges for the past two years, will take over the reins of the famous institution on April 28.

 

Caroline Rush’s departure

 

She will replace Caroline Rush, who has led the not-for-profit organization for the past 15 years and announced her intention to step down last year.
