Zurich-based luxury goods company Lalique has released its results for the first half of 2021, which show a marked improvement.

French luxury goods specialist Lalique has reported a significant increase in results at all levels for the first six months of the year. For the current fiscal year, the group still expects double-digit growth.

After having sold almost 10.6 million last year due to the health crisis, the company‘s net profit amounts to 3.1 million euros in the first quarter of 2021. As for the company‘s turnover, it gained 32% to 64.7 million.

According to the statement issued Wednesday by Lalique, the decrease in expenses has led to an operating profit (Ebit) for its part is 4.4 million against an operating loss of 10 million, with a related margin of 6.8%.

The business continued to be impacted by the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic but sales recovered significantly in the second quarter. In particular, fragrances increased significantly in all segments,” commented the Zurich-based group.

Its most important segment showed an increase of 2% 36.3 million, compared to the pre-pandemic figures, thanks to the sale of perfumes. Lalique says, however, that the sales of its solar range remain limited in the face of the travel restrictions that persist in several regions of the world.

Its unit The Glenturret, specializing in the sale of whiskey, has seen a monumental increase amounting to 385% year-on-year to 1.6 million, confirming strong demand despite the complications suffered by the export with the Brexit viagra generika schweiz rezeptfrei. Jaguar Fragrances failed to surpass its pre-crisis level and recorded 37% year-over-year growth to 8.7 million.

For the second half of the year, Lalique remains confident and hopes to maintain the same level of profitability as in the first half of 2021. These announcements seem to have encouraged investors, and on Wednesday the stock gained 3.03% to 34 Swiss francs, while the SPI market fell by 0.52%.
