Hermès is among the winners in the luxury sector in the first half of 2025

The saddle maker on Rue du Faubourg Saint Honoré posted further sales growth in the first six months of the year. However, its profits fell, impacted by exceptional contributions from companies.

 

Hermès seems to be more affected by French taxes and the rise of the dollar than by US customs duties…

 

While sales at its biggest competitors (LVMH and Kering) fell during the first six months of 2025, the Maison on Rue du Faubourg Saint Honoré has just unveiled a first half that remains resilient in terms of revenue.

 

Sales up, profits down

 

Its half-yearly sales grew by 7.1% (+8.1% at constant exchange rates) to €8 billion.
