Giorgio Armani names new CEO

Giorgio Armani named Gaetano Sciuto in quality of CEO and will occupy his job on 2019 january the 7th. He will replace Giuseppe Marsocci, who was CEO since 2015.

Thus he quits his functions of president of Fendi Americas, he occupied since 2013.

Sciuto started his career in 1994 and was responsible for the worldwide management of the Fendi licenses and accessories division.

 

 

 

 

 

Lucas Ossendrijver quits Lanvin

The House Lanvin, who encounters some financial issues, faces a new resignation. They have announced the end of their collaboration with Lucas Ossendrijver, artistic director of the men collections. 8 months ago Olivier Lapidus, artistic directof of the women collections also left the boat…

Lucas Ossendrijver designed the ready to wear men collection for 14 years «  These years have been an incredible adventure. I would like to thank my team, our amazing partners and artisans who made all of this possible, and especially those who believed in me from the beginning. I’m very proud of everything that we achieved together. » declared Lucas Ossendrijver in an official press release on Thursday November 15 . He is known in the fashion industry for its sportswear and sophisticated style herited from Albert Elbaz.

Loosing him is particularly difficult for Lanvin because the most ancient french fashion house has no designer anymore. However, rumors says that Bruno Sialelli, who used to be the artistic director for men collections at Loewe could replace him.

 

 

“Armistice” the watch by Col & MacArthur in memory of the Great War

Col & MacArthur commemorates the 100th anniversary of the First World War’s armistice by launching a new watch « Armistice 1918 ». It is a limited edition with only 1918 copies available.

Specialist of commemorative watches, the Belgian brand wanted to honor the soldiers of the Great War. The piece of jewellery « Swiss Made » is made with symbols of the war such as a cornflower and the date 11-11-18. It is also possible to personalize the watch with an engraving at the back of the dial.

 

 

The Gaia retreat Center in Australia named Best luxury hotel of the world

The World Luxury Hotels Awards created in 2006 is the most famous prize in the luxury hotel industry offering an international recognition. More than 300 000 travelers and specialist of the industry vote every year on a four weeks period to elect the best hotels in 99 different categories.

On November 10 2018, the ceremony held in Bali at the Ayana Hotel & Spa elected the Gaia Retreat&Spa Hotel as the best luxury hotel in the world. It is located on a 25 hectares land in the city of Byron Bay, a coastal city situated in the south west of Australia.

 

 

 

Christmas is coming at Bergdof and Goodman

On Wednesday November 14, Bergdof and Goodman, one of the most famous store in New York city, revealed its candy themed christmas windows. This event is usually one of the most awaited of the year because the store is known for its magical and extravagant productions.

This year, the house choses candies as a theme. Each of the seven windows of the store present one candy : gingerbread, chocolate, licorice, cotton candy and candy cane… Beyond the windows, animations and decorations are also set inside the store.
