Gianfranco D’Attis appointed CEO of Prada

The Prada Group has just announced the arrival of the CEO at the Italian luxury brand, listed in Hong Kong.
Gianfranco D’Attis will become president and CEO of the Prada brand on January 2, 2023. The creation of this position comes a few days after the appointment of the former head of Luxottica, Andrea Guerra, as the new chairman and CEO of the Prada Group (eponymous brand, Miu Miu, Church’s, Car Shoe, Pasticceria Marchesi). The idea is to facilitate the transition at the head of the group to the next generation of the founding family.
Gianfranco D’Attis will be responsible for the strategic development of the Prada brand in all markets. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from the Zurich Graduate School of Business Administration and completed the Senior Executive Program at Columbia Business School in New York. Throughout his career, he has held executive positions of increasing responsibility and his most recent position was President of Christian Dior Americas.
“His proven experience in the luxury sector, with a particular focus on retail, will help Prada increase its growth potential in all geographies,” the group explained in a statement.
