Gainerie 91, a French company and international leader in packaging and visual merchandising, has just acquired its compatriot Créanog, renowned for its expertise in embossing, engraving, and hot-stamping techniques.
The acquisition of Créanog marks the emergence of a leading global player in the design and manufacture of multi-material solutions for luxury brands. Above all, it underscores the undiminished—if not growing—importance of personalizing the customer experience in the luxury sector, from the store window to the unboxing experience.
Arnaud Haefelin, Chairman of the Gainerie 91 Group hailed “a growth opportunity for the Group.” He added: “The expertise and know-how of Créanog’s teams complement our current offering to fulfill our mission of enhancing luxury brand products.”
This pivotal step is part of Gainerie 91’s development strategy, supported by its shareholder Capza, which acquired a stake in February 2024. The French group confirms that it is actively seeking new opportunities for external growth.
An alliance built on complementary expertise
With its 750 employees spread across four production sites— in France, Portugal, China, and Mauritius— Gainerie 91 was already a leading player in the innovative and demanding worlds of packaging and visual merchandising.
Add to that sales offices in France, Switzerland, New York, and Dubai, as well as a sourcing office in Dongguan, and you have one of the world leaders in packaging and visual merchandising. In fact, the group controls the entire value chain, from design to production.
For its part, Créanog has a network across France, with a design studio in Paris and a manufacturing facility in the Southwest. This French artisanal company has distinguished itself through its expertise in embossing, engraving, and hot stamping.
A sign of their alignment, both companies hold the Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (EPV) certification. They thus share common values such as a commitment to quality, a strong artisanal culture, and expertise. Above all, they share a common field of expertise, namely the watchmaking, jewelry, wine & spirits, and perfume & cosmetics sectors.
“By combining our expertise, we are strengthening our ability to offer creative, technical, and responsible solutions that align with the expectations of luxury houses,” added Laurent Nogues, President of Créanog.
