Frasers consolidates its footprint in the sports sector by acquiring WIT Fitness. With this renowned brand specializing in sportswear and fitness, the group strengthens its already diversified portfolio, which includes names like Sports Direct and Evans Cycles.
Frasers Group, led by retail magnate Mike Ashley, finalized the acquisition of WIT Fitness on Tuesday, January 30, a renowned brand in the sports and fitness sector. This acquisition aligns with the English group’s strategy to be a major player in global sports retail.
The transaction encompasses the assets and intellectual property of WIT Fitness, known for its specialization in sportswear and fitness equipment.
Based in London, WIT Fitness currently employs around fifteen people. In addition to its products, it also offers workouts through its partnership with CrossFit, a high-intensity fitness program founded in 2000, with 12,000 affiliated gyms worldwide.
“We are pleased to have acquired the assets and intellectual property of WIT Fitness, a globally recognized CrossFit and fitness brand,” said James France, Head of Acquisitions at Frasers Group.
