Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, one of the world’s leading luxury hotel groups, is establishing a new luxury hotel in Saudi Arabia in the city of Diriyah, a suburb of the Saudi capital.
For this project, the group will be accompanied by the Diriyah Gate Development Authority (DGDA), the company responsible for developing the plans for the Four Season Hotel Diriyah. The latter was created in July 2017 with the aim of preserving Diriyah’s history, celebrating her community and developing the historic site of At-Turaif into one of the largest gathering places in the world.
The strategy of Four Seasons by implanting itself in Diriyah ?
Diriyah is a city considered across Saudi Arabia as the cradle of the kingdom and capital of the first Saudi state. Renowned for its traditional architecture and its 300-year-old site, it is home to At-Turaif, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It will also host, through the Diriyah Development project, 13 unique neighbourhoods including residences, hospitality offers, offices, shops, museums, cultural institutions, outdoor attractions and more…
Four Seasons has settled in this city because, thanks to development projects that have been in place for several years, Diriyah will become one of the most accessible pedestrian towns in the Middle East and the largest cultural and heritage site in the world. The influx of tourists that this development project is planning explains the choice of the hotel group to settle in this locality.

The Four Seasons Hotel Diriyah will have approximately 150 luxurious rooms and suites, several large meeting and event spaces as well as two outdoor pools. Its future guests can relax at its wellness spa or at its fitness centre. Finally, the hotel will host four culinary spaces, one of which is outdoor, located on the edge of one of the hotel’s two swimming pools. Its exterior design will be inspired by local tradition and developed by two architectural and interior agencies: Aedas and Elastik.

The hotel will be close to the Wadi Hanifah district, home to lush palm groves as far as the eye can see and will therefore be able to enjoy sumptuous landscapes; in addition to being a short drive from the Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh Kingdom Center.
