The fifth edition of the Sustainable Leather Forum (SLF), organized by the Conseil National du Cuir, will take place on September 11 at the Palais Brogniart in Paris.
This Monday, September 11, some 450 professionals will once again gather to discuss the challenges of leather transformation and its future, at the SLF (Sustainable Leather Forum) at the Palais Brogniart in Paris.
Key players in the industry, service providers, institutions and opinion leaders are not expected to miss this fifth edition, which is sure to generate inspiring exchanges.
Some twenty exhibitors
In addition to a rich program of presentations, some twenty exhibitors will be showcasing their services and solutions. These include collective structures (CNC, CTC, Fédération de la mode circulaire, ADC, Cetia, Fashion Green Hub, Institut de l’élevage Idele, Compagnons du devoir, etc.), clusters (CluXter, Resocuir), private companies (la boite Bienfaite, Plasseraud, etc.) and the Leather Working Group certification body.
New for 2023, the Networking-Matchmaking tool will enable visitors to meet participants who can meet their requirements. It is possible to register online for this first international platform for the leather CSR community, open all year round. A few weeks before the SLF, the matchmaking algorithm enabled interested parties to set up appointments. But latecomers can rest assured that it will still be possible to make last-minute proposals during the Summit itself.
Four major themes
As for the round tables, which will be held throughout the day, four major themes have been announced this year by the CNC (Conseil national du cuir): “an overview of labellizations and certifications”, “emerging approaches to breeding and traceability for a more virtuous value chain”, “CSR, the DNA of the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) sector” and finally, “reparability as a lever for circularity”.
