The Italian car brand Ferrari is once again posting excellent results for 2019. For the first time in its history, Ferrari exceeded 10,000 annual sales, with 10,131 cars registered.
For the year 2019, the Italian manufacturer’s operating margin was 23.2%, 8 points higher than its competitor Porshe.
Indeed, for each car sold, Ferrari generates a margin of almost €90,000, an impressive result.
It is thus understandable that to make the same profits as Ferrari for the sale of a car, the BMW brand has to sell 30, the Renault brand 122 and Ford 908.
However, Ferrari’s good economic health is still to be seen in retrospect. The Italian manufacturer is a small luxury company, facing automotive giants that are showing increased competition.
At the same time, Ferrari has also recently raised €1 million for the “Azienda Unità Sanitaria Locale” (AUSL) in Modena. This money will be used to treat patients and to purchase medical equipment. Part of the donation will be used for telemedicine, so that hospitals can remotely monitor the state of health of patients.
As the Covid 2019 epidemic continues, the major car manufacturers have taken part in the fight, in particular by changing their production lines to make respirators or hydroalcoholic gels.
The Italian manufacturer is now also producing useful and necessary parts for breathing and ventilation equipment used in hospitals.
