Yesterday, the multinational company EssilorLuxottica announced the renewal and extension of its partnership with Ferrari, concluded in 2016.
The multi-year agreement between the two companies will take effect on January 1, 2023. EssilorLuxottica, the world leader in 360-degree lenses, will continue to design, manufacture and distribute eyewear, partnering with Scuderia Ferrari and the famous Ray-ban sunglasses brand. The license also includes the first eyewear collection under the Ferrari brand.
EssilorLuxottica’s sponsorship is also being extended through a new agreement. Not only will the Ray-Ban logo continue to appear on Ferraris’ Formula 1 cars, but it will also appear for the first time on the cars and equipment of drivers who compete in GT or World Championship events (Le Mans Hypercar, Gran Turismo…).
“Ferrari is unique, and our history together has been exceptional from the beginning. With the first collaboration between Ray-Ban and Scuderia Ferrari we saw the passion of racing fans for the Ferrari brand and the closeness between racing and fashion, which is also expressed in eyewear. Thanks to this extended partnership, we will share this enthusiasm with more consumers around the world, further developing Ferrari in the eyewear category,” announced EssilorLuxottica CEO, Francesco Milleri.
Ferrari CEO, Benedetto Vigna said, “Starting today, Ferrari is preparing to realize new ambitions with EssilorLuxottica: from the first Ferrari-branded eyewear collection to the challenges that await us on the circuits of the upcoming motorsport season.”
