EssilorLuxottica starts 2025 with particularly robust results : the Franco-Italian optics group has reported first-quarter sales of 6.85 billion euros, up +7.3% at constant exchange rates and +8.1% at current exchange rates on the same period last year. This performance confirms the resilience of the Group’s business model, in a still uncertain macroeconomic context.
With this first quarter marked by performance, innovation and a balanced presence across all continents, EssilorLuxottica continues to assert its leadership in the global optical market.
Results up in all regions
EssilorLuxottica’s sales of 6.85 billion euros are all the more remarkable as they reflect solid growth in all its markets worldwide.
In Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), sales climbed 9.9% at constant exchange rates to 2,548 million euros. The region benefited from strong demand for optical and sunglass frames – notably Ray-Ban, Oakley, Chanel and Miu Miu – and from a favorable momentum in innovative lenses. Stellest lenses recorded double-digit growth. On the services front, teleoptometry was introduced in over 20 stores, and the “Vision as a Service” subscription program passed the million-customer mark. The launch of Nuance Audio hearing glasses in Italy, now extended to France, the UK and Germany, marks the Group’s entry into a promising new segment.
