After a first ethical collection created in 2015 with Marion Cotillard, the Swiss jeweller joins forces again with the French actress and unveils its new collection Ice Cube Capsule by Marion Cotillard.

Since 2013, the brand has been fighting for a more responsible luxury and with respect for those who work in it.

With the “Journey towards sustainable luxury” project, the brand wishes to further strengthen its commitments in its commercial practices and its productions and to do so, it aims to make its materials 100% ethical.

If Marion Cotillard has decided to work hand in hand with the Swiss jeweller, it is because they both agree on one point: the desire to extend this fight for social and environmental concerns around the world, towards jewellery and its materials.

Its story begins with the brand in 2004, when she wins the Chopard trophy at the Cannes Film Festival, and then in 2015 when she stands out on the red carpet with the jewellery she wears, those of the Green Carpet Collection created in association with the Swiss jeweller, all made of Fairmined certified ethical gold and diamonds from the Responsible Jewellery Council.

This new collection of high jewellery designed by the actress is called Ice Cube Capsule by Marion Cotillard. Inspired by her former Ice Cube line, this time the French actress has designed seven pieces, a ring and six earrings, all made of Fairmined certified ethical gold and diamonds corresponding to the highest international standards.

We can discover more precisely in this collection, rings with a diamond to put on the top of the ear, a princess cut solitaire diamond to wear on the earlobe, or a falling cascade of diamonds walking to the rhythm of the footsteps while brushing the nape of the neck.

For its part, the ring has two rings, both of which are again connected by a princess cut diamond.

The little extra detail that changes everything in this luxurious and ethical line is that each earring is worn with a clip, for women without pierced ears.

For this new project, the actress was once again able to work alongside Caroline Scheufele, the co-president and artistic director of Chopard, who shares the same convictions and values: “Chopard has followed me since I started acting and we share the same commitment to ethics with Caroline Scheufele, so this new collaboration is a very nice way to further strengthen the ties that unite us”.

Roberto Cavalli’s CEO, Gian Giacomo Ferraris, will retire by the end of 2020.

Last year, the brand passed into the hands of DICO, the group owned by businessman Hussain Sajwani, who bought it from Clessidra for an unreported amount.

Gian Giacomo Ferraris himself announced his decision in a letter to the brand’s employees, in which he confesses to having “contrasting feelings, which give him some satisfaction, but also a little sadness and some regrets“.
