In a new unit called Nevold, dedicated to recycling textile scraps, unused fabrics, and other unsold products, the luxury group is bringing together three structures in which it has already invested since 2019: L’Atelier des Matières, Les Filatures du Parc, and Authentic Material. In addition to responding to growing regulations on circularity, Nevold also enables Chanel to secure its supply of precious materials.
Nevold stands for Never Old! A name that sounds good in the luxury sector, where sustainability is a key word.
On Monday, June 9, Chanel announced the creation of a structure dedicated to recycling textile scraps, unused fabrics, and other unsold products, called Nevold.
A more circular economy…
According to the press release issued by the luxury group, the idea is for Nevold to be part of a “profound transformation process that rethinks the entire product life cycle, develops new skills and new professions… and contributes to a more circular economy.”
