Chanel appoints its first global communications director

Ruth Warder, communications expert and current executive at Edelman, will take up the new position of global communications director at the luxury group. She will play a key role in a saturated media landscape, as Chanel, which underperformed in 2024, has just welcomed Mathieu Blazy to its artistic direction team.

The luxury group has just announced the creation of a new position, that of Global Chief Communications Officer, which it has entrusted to an expert in the sector, Ruth Warder.

 

Strengthening Chanel’s voice around the world

 

Currently an executive at the renowned American communications agency Edelman, Ruth Warder will take up her new position in September as part of the global management team based in London. She will report directly to Leena Nair, Chanel’s Global CEO.
