Challenges ranking of the 500 richest people in France: luxury goods still in pole position

Despite the clouds on the global market, and especially in China, the representatives of the great luxury dynasties (founders of the giants Lvmh, Hermès, Chanel, L’Oréal and Kering) remain in the top ten of the list of France’s biggest fortunes.

 

Luxury may be experiencing a slowdown, but it continues to be a major source of income for France’s richest families.

Professional and not personal assets

 

To carry out this exercise, the business magazine uses all the listed and unlisted professional assets of the people studied, and “does not take into account personal assets (private real estate, cars, works of art…)”.
