Cannes Film Festival: Nicole Kidman receives Kering’s Women In Motion Award 2025

Kering and the Cannes Film Festival will present the Women In Motion 2025 Award to actress and producer Nicole Kidman at the official Women In Motion dinner held during the Festival. Already an Oscar, Emmy, Golden Globe and SAG Award winner, the American-Australian actress has been an ambassador for Balenciaga since last year.

For the 10th edition of Women In Motion, the Kering Group has chosen to honor Nicole Kidman, a committed woman who “fully embodies the spirit of the program and has powerfully illustrated its mission over the past decade.”

This is the first time that the actress, star of Eyes Wide Shut and Moulin Rouge, has returned to the Cannes Film Festival since receiving the Special Prize at the 70th edition in 2017.

A major figure in the Seventh Art, Nicole Kidman has distinguished herself with a career marked as much by her artistic audacity as by her talent and uncompromising performances, redefining the representation of women on screen.

“For this anniversary edition of Women In Motion, the choice of Nicole Kidman, who fully embodies the spirit of the program, was obvious. Through her artistic standards, her committed choices, and her concrete actions to advance representation in cinema, she powerfully illustrates what Women In Motion has stood for over the past ten years,“ said François-Henri Pinault, Chairman and CEO of Kering.
