Bloomberg Billionaires Index: Americans celebrate, French lose…

According to the latest Bloomberg rankings, Elon Musk is now the richest man in the world, well ahead of three of his fellow Tech stars, Jeff Bezos, Larry Ellison and Mark Zuckerberg. By contrast, French billionaires Bernard Arnault, François Bettencourt and above all François Pinault fell several places, victims of less buoyant business in Luxury Goods. Carried away by the Trump rocket, Elon Musk becomes the richest man in the world…by far.

 

Elon Musk,the American billionaire behind Space X, Tesla electric cars, social network X and xAI (an artificial intelligence specialist), has broken a new record.

 

New world record

 

According to Bloomberg’s ranking of the world’s billionaires, published on November 24, he now has an estimated kitty of $348 billion, equivalent to the value of the shares he owns. That’s an increase of $119 billion in one year… A new world record! The previous record had already been beaten by Elon Musk in November 2021, but at $338 billion, i.e. $10 billion less.
