Beauty: Chinese company Ushopal acquires French company Payot

The leader in luxury beauty in China has just announced the acquisition of French company Payot, which has been specializing in professional skin care for over a century. Ushopal intends to further expand the brand’s audience, which is already present in 70 countries.

 

Ushopal continues to fill its basket with high-end European beauty brands.

 

Claiming the title of “leading luxury beauty group based in China”, it has just finalized the acquisition of Payot, which it describes in a press release as a “French icon in skin care”.

 

Portfolio of high-end brands

 

Having already bought in 2022, the British luxury skincare brand Argentum Apothecary and invested in the French niche perfume house Juliette Has a Gun, founded in 2006 by Romano and Antina Ricci, the great-grandchildren of Nina Ricci, Ushopal is thus strengthening its portfolio of high-end brands in skincare, cosmetics and fragrances.
