Automotive: Lamborghini reopens its seasonal showroom in Porto Cervo for the sixth year running

Lamborghini has just begun the sixth year of its ephemeral showroom in the glamorous seaside village of Porto Cervo in Sardinia. This must-see venue for aficionados of the car brand promises yet more exclusive customer experiences, with two new supercar models.

And six.

For the sixth time in a row, Lamborghini is establishing its summer quarters in one of the favorite vacation spots of the world’s rich and famous: Porto Cervo.

Since 2019, the brand with the bull has been deploying its Lamborghini Lounge on the golden shores of Sardinia, a showroom pop-up store to meet its customers and future customers.

This seasonal space, similar to the Italian manufacturer’s California address in Monterrey, can be discovered on the Promenade du Port, Via Porto Vecchio, until September 6.

Although the Sant’Agata Bolognese-based brand has not yet revealed the financial benefits, the continuation of the operation provides valuable indications as to the profitability of such an activation.

Exclusive immersion

A unique blend of the Lamborghini lifestyle, the Porto Cervo lounge allows visitors to view, test drive and even order one of the Italian carmaker’s latest models, by appointment only.

A fleet of Lamborghini test vehicles is available for practice on the region’s winding roads.

The Lamborghini Lounge Porto Cervo, designed as much for events as for experiences, promises festive moments as well as driving activities through the picturesque landscapes and extraordinary sunsets of the Italian Costa Smeralda.

With its 600 square meters of interior space enhanced by an additional private patio, this VIP lounge offers animmersive 360° experience of the brand through its products and its latest acts of co-creation in the lifestyle universe, such as furniture designed with Living Divani, the Lamborghini perfume developed with Culti Milano, the Lamborghini shoe collection designed with Tod’s or the 3T bicycle inspired by Lamborghini design and colors.

Offering tailor-made support, the showroom, like its other permanent addresses in New York and Tokyo, features an Ad Personam Studio. In this dedicated space, customers are free to personalize their dream sports supercar by choosing from a vast assortment of colors, upholstery, finishes and details, all using a virtual configurator on a giant screen.

Revuelto and Urus superstars

As with all Lamborghini Lounges, the models available for testing are focused on new products.

And when it comes to news, the Italian firm, which has just celebrated its 60th anniversary in style in 2023, is offering two new editions of vehicles to try out and make your own, based around its flagship Lamborghini Revuelto and Urus SE models.

The iconic Revuelto is presented in Ad Personam Grigio Artis (grey), with contrasting Nero Ade and Rosso Andra (red) interiors. Presented as a new paradigm in terms of performance, sportiness and driving pleasure, the Revuelto is the brand’s first super-sporty V12 plug-in hybrid HPEV (High Performance Electrified Vehicle).

Rounding off this duo of new models is the Urus SE, recently unveiled in Beijing. This is the first plug-in hybrid Super SUV, featuring a new design, on-board technologies and a twin-turbo V8 engine which, combined with the electric powertrain, delivers a luxurious, high-performance SUV experience with 800 hp. This Super SUV is presented in the launch color Arancio Egon (orange) in combination with Arancio Apodis (orange) interiors.

The two supercars follow on from the Huracan Sterrato Opera Unica, a one-off V10-powered anniversary model introduced by the Bull brand last year. This elevated supercar boasts an exclusive blue color inspired by the reflections of the sea in Sardinia. Entirely hand-crafted, this Mediterranean hue is said to have required 370 hours of work and cost €120,000 alone.

Epicenter of the international jet-set

Aseaside village of just 500 souls in winter and capital of the Costa Smeralda, Porto Cervo has become a first-class luxury destination. Its marina, one of the largest in the Mediterranean (750 berths), is a summer haven for the most prestigious yachts. Popular with the international jet-set for some sixty years, this dream destination vies with Forte dei Marmi for the title of “Italy’s Saint-Tropez”.

As a sign of its growing appeal, more and more luxury brands such as Dior, Diamanti, Givenchy and Rolex have recently opened seasonal or permanent outlets here.

Porto Cervo’s aura as the place to be for luxury shopping has prompted some of its close neighbors to retaliate. Cannes, for example, is counting on the inauguration last spring of its new-style Palm Beach to attract an increasingly affluent clientele.
