The latest Andam competition, celebrating its 35th anniversary, rewarded a quartet of young international talents… In addition to the Grand Prix, awarded to the Australian of Lebanese origin Christopher Esber, the French-Canadian Emeric Tchatchoua (3.Paradis) won the Jury’s Special Prize, the French Edmond Luu (Pièces Uniques), the Pierre Bergé Prize and the Dutch Christian Heikoop (Maeden), the Accessories Prize.
And the winners of the Andam competition are…Christopher Esber, Grand Prix du Jury, Emeric Tchatchoua (3.Paradis), Prix spécial du Jury, Edmond Luu (Pièces Uniques), Prix Pierre Bergé and Christian Heikoop (Maeden), Prix Accessoires.
On June 27, the Association nationale pour le développement des arts de la mode announced the four lucky winners of its prestigious competition for the most promising young designers.
The ceremony took place in the gardens of the Palais-Royal, in the capital’s 1st arrondissement, in the presence of Rachida Dati, the French Minister of Culture. The headquarters of her ministry, which has supported Andam since its inception 35 years ago, is located in the same historic building, on rue de Valois.
Tomorrow’s fashion
“You are the fashion of tomorrow, and you will forge it in your own image: creative, diverse, open and innovative“, underlined Rachida Dati.
