Editions Assouline turns over a new leaf with a new President…from the ranks.
Thirtysomething Alexandre Assouline, son of Prosper and Martine, the eponymous founding couple of the famous Maison in 1994, has been appointed President.
Based in New York, he will continue to work closely with both his parents, two former communications and design specialists who worked for luxury houses before moving into publishing.
The rise of luxury and lifestyle
Alexandre Assouline, who has already had a successful career with the family business, is set to continue the lifestyle and luxury expansion of the publishing house, which specializes in large-format books on art, fashion, architecture and travel. In the latter segment, Assouline made a name for itself during the pandemic with its Travel From Home collection, renamed Travel Series, whose success has been undeniable ever since.
