Shangri-La : strong business performance in 2025, but declining profits

The Asian hotel group Shangri-La saw strong growth in its business in 2025, despite a significant decline in net profit.

 

For the fiscal year ended December 31, 2025, consolidated revenue reached $2.234 billion, up approximately 2% from the $2.185 billion recorded in 2024.

 

Rising indicators… with one exception

 

Despite this revenue growth, net profit fell significantly, largely due to pressure on margins : it stood at $112.3 million, compared to $161.4 million a year earlier, a decline of approximately 30%.

 

In detail, earnings per share also declined, to $0.0316 from $0.0454 in 2024, confirming this deterioration in overall profitability.

 

Despite this decline in net income, Shangri-La highlights an improvement in its operational fundamentals. Profit attributable before non-operating items rose 6% to $122.8 million.
