Pernod Ricard reports a difficult first half of 2025-2026

Difficulties in the Chinese and American markets took their toll on Pernod Ricard this half-year, which was marked by a decline in organic revenue and current operating profit for the spirits brand.

Over the first six months of its fiscal year, Pernod Ricard posted sales of €5.25 billion, down 5.9% organically and 14.9% on a reported basis compared to the same period last year. This decline reflects unfavorable currency effects of €356 million, particularly related to the US dollar, the Indian rupee, and the Turkish lira.

Current operating profit fell by 7.5% organically and 18.7% on a reported basis due to pressure on profitability in a context of high costs and weaker demand. Furthermore, net profit attributable to the group also declined to around €975 million.

The United States and China are dragging down the figures

In the Americas region, overall sales declined by approximately 12% over the half-year. This trend remains particularly pronounced in the United States, where the decline reached 15%, penalized by inventory adjustments among distributors and less dynamic overall demand.
