The Epstein case: the scandal casting a shadow over the luxury industry

Documents related to pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, published by the US justice system, mention numerous figures from the worlds of politics, media, business, and particularly luxury goods. But while some, such as Axel Dumas, CEO of Hermès, have explained that they managed to avoid the sinister character, others cannot say the same…

 

“Whether you are powerful or miserable, court judgments will make you white or black,” said La Fontaine in “The Animals Sick with the Plague.”

 

But with the Epstein case, this statement is not really relevant.

 

Impunity is not the order of the day

 

The proof? The arrest on February 19 of former Prince Andrew, already stripped of his title and privileges for his ties to the American pedophile. This time, he is suspected of having passed on potentially confidential information to Jeffrey Epstein when he was the UK’s envoy for international trade.
