Luxury hotel group Jumeirah has confirmed its ambition to expand beyond traditional hospitality by adding the iconic sailing yacht The Maltese Falcon to its portfolio.
This alliance between Jumeirah and The Maltese Falcon marks the birth of a new luxury cruise experience, transforming a legendary superyacht into a luxury retreat.
A legendary silhouette refurbished
At 88 meters long, the Maltese Falcon has been renowned since its launch in 2006 for its avant-garde design, remarkable naval architecture, and cutting-edge technology. One of its major assets is its DynaRig sailing system: three self-supporting carbon fiber masts capable of deploying approximately 2,400 m² of sail area in just six minutes.
Recently renovated, the yacht has had its interiors and exteriors updated with high-end finishes and revised engineering.

The Maltese Falcon can accommodate up to 12 guests and offers a full-beam master suite, a private VIP deck on the flybridge accessible from a terrace, and four double cabins, all with en-suite bathrooms.
The yacht also stands out for its living spaces : an atrium extending over three decks around the main mast, lit by a skylight, an open-air cinema projected onto the lower sail, a rotating circular solarium on the flybridge, and a wellness area including a massage room and fitness room. In addition, there are numerous leisure facilities: jet skis, kayaks, JetSurf boards, paddleboards, snorkeling equipment… everything you need to explore the seas in the utmost comfort.
A new chapter for Jumeirah Private
The Maltese Falcon’s maiden voyage under the Jumeirah banner is scheduled for December 2025, departing from Antigua. And from 2026, the yacht will offer seasonal itineraries with Mediterranean destinations and Caribbean getaways.
Travelers will also be able to enjoy the Balearic Islands, the French Riviera and Monaco, the Amalfi Coast, Sardinia, and the shores of Croatia, Montenegro, Greece, and Turkey in the summer. In winter, the Maltese Falcon will set sail for the Caribbean with stops in Antigua, the Bahamas, Saint Martin, and Saint Barth.

The addition of the Maltese Falcon to the Jumeirah Privé collection is the second pillar of this exclusive offering, following the addition of the Jumeirah Thanda Island retreat in Tanzania. With this move, Jumeirah seeks to offer its ultra-high-end clientele differentiated travel experiences while expanding its footprint in the luxury sector.
Thomas B. Meier, CEO of Jumeirah, said : “The Maltese Falcon marks an important milestone for Jumeirah Privé and opens the door to luxury yachting for us. Designed for the most discerning travelers, this collaboration demonstrates our commitment to creating unique and memorable experiences that combine privacy, exclusivity, and exceptional service. The heritage and craftsmanship of this yacht are truly remarkable, and our role in this partnership will be to enhance the onboard experience with our culinary expertise, wellness experiences, and the warm Arabian hospitality that characterizes Jumeirah.”
