Perfumes: Acqua di Parma teams up with car manufacturer Maserati

The embodiment of Italian luxury, perfume and cologne maker Acqua di Parma is continuing its collaboration with award-winning design duo GamFratesi. Known for its home fragrances, the LVMH group’s Maison also offers car fragrances, which is why car manufacturer Maserati has joined forces with it to create an exclusive gift set and diffuser.

Making every journey unforgettable.

This is the goal of this unique collaboration between two representatives of Italian luxury, Acqua di Parma (LVMH) and Maserati. The former specializes in perfumery, as well as home candles, leather goods, and bath linens, while the latter specializes in automobiles.

Together, they have created an immersive multisensory experience based on car fragrance diffusers, accessories, and an exclusive gift set: the Arte del viaggio (art of travel) collection.

For the occasion, the perfumer has created a visual narrative around la dolce vita on the Amalfi Coast and its citrus fruits, two ingredients that feature prominently in the composition and inspiration of its fragrances. A Maserati Ghibli SS Spyder designed by Ghia enjoys the laid-back lifestyle of Portofino and its surroundings.

The collection is available through various selected channels: the Arte del Viaggio box set, limited to 100 copies, is distributed exclusively in Acqua di Parma boutiques in Milan, Rome, Saint-Tropez, and Paris. The diffuser is available in Maserati showrooms and online, as well as in a limited number of boutiques and on the Acqua di Parma e-commerce platform.

An immersive multisensory experience

More than just a kit, it is an experience that transforms every journey into a statement of style. Because traveling in style means surrounding yourself with Italy: through its scents, its details, its timeless charm,” the press release emphasizes.

The collaboration between Maserati and Acqua di Parma has given rise to Arte del Viaggio, an exclusive collection that combines style, craftsmanship, and comfort for an enhanced travel experience.

The collection includes the Andiamo car diffuser in Acqua di Parma’s iconic yellow. It is complemented by a Passepartout bottle holder in natural leather, enhanced with yellow stitching and Maserati’s iconic trident, paired with a 12 ml bottle of Eau de Cologne Colonia.

Added to this is the Arte del Viaggio gift set, presented in an Acqua di Parma pouch, which contains the special edition Andiamo diffuser and a Luce di Colonia refill.

But the Maserati automotive experience, with its timeless Italian style, bespoke interior, fluid power, and signature sound, would be nothing without the pleasure of driving. The Arte del Viaggio gift set therefore includes a pair of Maserati blue nappa leather driving gloves with contrasting yellow trim. Designed for optimal comfort and grip, these fingerless gloves are perforated at the knuckles and fastened with tone-on-tone laser-engraved buttons.

Travel companion since 2021

Acqua di Parma is no stranger to car fragrances.

In 2021, the Italian brand launched its first car fragrance diffuser: Airound. This innovative, colorful pebble-shaped device attaches directly to the vehicle’s air vent using an ingenious magnetic system to release a subtle fragrance. The intensity can be adjusted using a slider. The refills are replaceable, offering the possibility of choosing a different fragrance every day.

This major first was made possible by the collaboration of two players: furniture and interior design specialist Poltrona Frau and designer duo GamFratesi.

Two fragrances from Acqua di Parma particularly embody this typically Mediterranean spirit of la dolce vita.

Included in the Arte del Viaggio gift set, Luce di Colonia embodies the feeling of radiant brightness and refined lightness conferred by its citrus notes (orange and lemon) enhanced by petitgrain, neroli, patchouli, and vetiver.

Fico de Amalfi, meanwhile, unfurls notes of fig and lemon blended with cedarwood.

It should be noted that in April, Acqua di Parma chose to establish its very first Parisian flagship store on Rue Saint Honoré.
