Alain Ducasse has won the tender for the opening dinner of the Paris Olympic Games. On July 25, the Monégasque chef will serve about a hundred heads of state under the Pyramid of the Louvre in Paris.
Another recognition for the Michelin-starred chef. Announced on Friday, March 8th by the newspaper La Lettre, the name of the person in charge of one of the most important evenings of the year is none other than Alain Ducasse. Already accustomed to orchestrating large-scale events – including several state dinners at the request of the Élysée Palace – the globally renowned chef was chosen by the International Olympic Committee to host the official opening dinner of the Olympic and Paralympic Games of Paris.
Scheduled the day before the opening ceremony of the sports competition, this evening is an opportunity for Alain Ducasse and his teams to showcase the best of French gastronomy. Gathered under the Pyramid of the Louvre, about a hundred heads of state will meet on July 25th to enjoy the flavors crafted by the former chef of the Le Jules Verne restaurant.
