Omega, the Swiss watchmaker owned by the Swatch Group, is partnering with jeweler Oliver Smith Jeweler to open a new boutique in Aspen, the upscale American resort town renowned for winter sports. This opening reaffirms the importance of the state of Colorado in the luxury watch market.
A 4-hour 19-minute flight from New York and 2 hours 16 minutes from Los Angeles lies Aspen. This ski resort, with a year-round population of 7,000, located in Colorado, is popular with high society, to the point that Hermès opened a permanent flagship store there in the summer of 2023 and ran a Le Monde d’Hermès kiosk during the winter of 2023-2024.
To capitalize on this luxury clientele, the Swiss watchmaker has partnered with retailer Oliver Smith Jeweler. This family-owned business, founded in 1981 and still run by the second generation of jewelers, has a store in Aspen and another in Scottsdale, Arizona.
A strategic location
Located at 400 East Hyman Avenue, the newly opened Omega boutique with Oliver Smith Jeweler is in downtown Aspen, right in the cultural and commercial heart of the city. Here, the brand celebrates its heritage of precision and contemporary style, all against the breathtaking backdrop of the Rocky Mountains.
