W Las Vegas hotel set to open in America’s most nocturnal city

It’s a done deal. MGM Resorts International and Marriott International have announced the completion of the transformation of a Las Vegas Strip property into the W Hotels brand, under the aegis of the Marriott Bonvoy catalog. A high-end hotel scheduled for completion at the end of the year.

After a long-term strategic licensing agreement, the W Las Vegas (Marriott Group) will soon be launched. The hotel will take up residence in the former Delano Hotel on the Sin City Strip, more preciselyon the Mandalay Bay campus nestled in the heart of this mythical avenue.

“Bold design and vibrant nightlife”

While the precise details of the establishment, in terms of design, rooms and services, are unknown, the conversion of the current non-gaming Delano Hotel into the W Hotels brand is expected to be finalized by the end of the year although no date has been specified. This41-storey tower features over 1100 rooms, two restaurants, a spa, a beach club and a panoramic lounge on the top level. Given the size of the establishment, anything is possible and imaginable for the W Las Vegas.

“We are delighted to continue our collaboration with MGM to establish the W Las Vegas on the legendary Las Vegas Strip. […] This agreement marks a milestone in our collaboration as we continue to expand our hospitality and entertainment offerings for guests. As a luxury brand rooted in bold design and vibrant nightlife, W Hotels is well positioned to enhance the traveler experience in this destination” said Leeny Oberg, CFO and Executive Vice President of Development, Marriott International.

What better way to enhance Las Vegas’ dynamic luxury offering than with a trendy hotel focused on nightlife appeal.
