Valentino and Christian Lacroix: two CEOs on their way out?

Valentino must have been hoping for a more favorable context to celebrate its 65th anniversary this year.

 

On June 30, the Italian fashion house confirmed in a very brief statement that its CEO, Jacopo Venturini, who joined the company in 2020, is on sick leave. Valentino was responding to information published the previous day by Italian fashion blog “The Platform,” which claimed that the Italian executive was preparing to resign in order to have more time for himself…

 

Kering, future 100% owner of Valentino

 

Valentino is owned by the Qatari investment fund Mayhoola, but also, since 2023, 30% by the French company Kering. The agreement included reciprocal sale and purchase options allowing the luxury group to acquire the entire share capital of Valentino between May 2026 and 2028.
