The Machefert Group emerges from receivership

After five years of turmoil and extensive restructuring, the Machefert hotel group is officially out of receivership. On July 15, the Paris Commercial Court validated its continuation plan.

 

After more than five years marked by the health crisis, a debt burden complicated by the sale of receivables to an activist fund, and tensions with its main creditor, the Parisian hotel group Machefert can finally look to the future with confidence : the Paris Commercial Court has validated the continuation plan proposed by the company, putting an end to the receivership proceedings.

 

A plan structured around resilience

 

The continuation plan is based on a double financial operation : a partial sale of assets for a total of 180 million euros, and a 135 million euro cash injection from the investment fund Bain Capital. The three Paris establishments Villa Royale Pigalle, Villa Alessandra and Villa Lutèce Port Royal will be sold, but two of them will continue to be operated by the Group via management contracts.
