“Disfavor” treatment for Beijing
He thus declared that “due to China’s lack of respect for world markets”, he was raising tariffs on products from that country to 125%, and that ” at the same time, due to the willingness of more than 75 countries to negotiate, he authorized a pause of 90 days and substantially reduced reciprocal duties during this period, of 10%, also effective immediately“ for all countries other than the Middle Kingdom.
